Frequently Asked Questions

Everything about how AyahFlow turns a Quran recitation into a captioned video — detection, accuracy, languages, pricing, and privacy.

The product

What is AyahFlow?

AyahFlow is a web app that turns Quran recitation videos into captioned videos automatically. You upload a recording of yourself reciting, the AI identifies the surah and the exact ayah range, aligns every word of the Uthmani Arabic text to your voice, adds a translation, and renders a finished video sized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or YouTube. There is nothing to install — it runs in the browser.

How does AyahFlow know which surah and ayahs I am reciting?

An AI model listens to your audio, predicts the surah, then verifies its prediction word-by-word against the authentic Uthmani text of the Quran to find the exact ayah boundaries. It handles partial ayahs and repeated verses. You don't need to type the surah name or verse numbers — although you can review and correct everything in the editor before rendering.

How accurate is the word-by-word synchronization?

AyahFlow does not use generic speech-to-text, which performs poorly on Quranic Arabic. Instead it uses forced alignment with a speech model specialized for Quranic recitation: because the text of the Quran is already known, the system only has to match each known word to its exact moment in your audio. This is far more reliable than transcription and produces clean word-level timestamps even with long pauses between verses.

Which translation languages does AyahFlow support?

AyahFlow renders translations in 16 languages: English (Saheeh International), Urdu, Indonesian, Bengali, Turkish, Hindi, Persian, French, German, Malayalam, Tamil, Chinese, Spanish, Albanian, Sindhi, and Divehi. Right-to-left scripts such as Urdu Nastaliq are rendered with proper dedicated fonts.

Does AyahFlow cover the whole Quran?

Yes — all 114 surahs, with the full Uthmani text and translations available for every ayah. Long recitations are supported too: up to 5 minutes per video on the free plan, 10 minutes on Basic and Pro, and 20 minutes on Premium.

Quality and accuracy

What Arabic script does AyahFlow use?

The Uthmani script of the Madinah Mushaf, rendered with the KFGQPC Uthmanic Hafs typeface, so every harakah, sukun, and waqf mark appears exactly as in the printed mushaf. Caption lines are split at waqf (pause) marks rather than at arbitrary word counts, so text breaks where a reciter would naturally pause.

Does it work with different recitation styles and speeds?

Yes. Because alignment matches your audio against known text rather than transcribing it, AyahFlow handles slow mujawwad-style recitation, faster tarteel, long pauses between ayahs, and elongated madd letters. Clean audio with minimal background noise gives the best results.

Can I edit the captions before rendering?

Yes. The segment editor lets you adjust which words appear together, fix timing, choose Arabic and translation fonts, set sizes, colors, text position, background dimming, fade timing, and ayah number markers. The preview matches the final render exactly.

Which aspect ratios and resolutions can I export?

9:16 (TikTok, Reels, Shorts), 1:1, 4:5, and 16:9, rendered in HD. Encoding is tuned for social media re-compression so the Arabic text stays sharp after upload. See our platform guide for recommended settings.

Can I upload audio instead of video?

Yes. AyahFlow accepts MP4 and MOV video as well as audio-only files (MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, AAC, OGG). For audio uploads you can pair the recitation with a styled background.

Pricing and account

Is AyahFlow free?

Yes — every account gets 3 free captioned videos (up to 5 minutes each) with a small watermark, and no credit card is required. Paid plans start at $12/month (about 25 one-minute videos per month) and remove the watermark.

How much does AyahFlow cost?

Basic is $12/month (~25 one-minute videos), Pro is $25/month (~83 one-minute videos), and Premium is $99/month (~333 one-minute videos, files up to 20 minutes). Yearly billing reduces the effective price to $8, $17, and $66 per month respectively. Each video costs tokens: 20 base + roughly 10 per minute, deducted only after a successful render. Full details on the pricing page.

How long does it take to process a video?

Detection and alignment typically finish in well under a minute for a one-minute clip. After you review the segments in the editor, the final render is also fast — most creators go from upload to downloadable video in a few minutes total.

Are my uploaded videos private?

Yes. Uploads go directly to private cloud storage over an encrypted connection, are used only to generate your captioned video, and are accessible only from your account. Your recitations are not published anywhere and are not used to train AI models. More in our privacy policy.

Can I monetize or publish videos made with AyahFlow?

Yes. Videos you create are yours to publish on any platform, including monetized channels. Paid plans render without a watermark. The Quranic text and Saheeh International translation used are standard published editions.
